Participe en la próxima reunión de la Junta Directiva de CSUEU —abierta al público—, en la que los líderes de las secciones locales debatirán los detalles de las nuevas administraciones fiduciarias propuestas, las modificaciones a los estatutos de CSUEU y la destitución de los miembros de la junta ejecutiva de CSUEU.

Asista a Las Reuniones Virtuales Informativas Sobre los Estatutos de CSUEU

Se prevé que la votación sobre los estatutos propuestos de CSUEU se lleve a cabo del 30 de junio al 4 de julio. Los miembros recibirán el enlace oficial para votar por mensaje de texto y correo electrónico.

Antes de emitir su voto, le animamos a participar en una de nuestras últimas reuniones virtuales informativas a nivel estatal, que se celebrarán el lunes 29 de junio a las 12:00 p. m. y a las 7:00 p. m. En ellas podrá escuchar directamente a los líderes sindicales electos, hacer preguntas y debatir sobre lo que estos cambios podrían significar para el futuro de nuestro sindicato.

Esta no es una simple actualización de estatutos.

Se trata de una reestructuración fundamental de la forma en que se gobierna CSUEU y se representa a sus miembros.

La pregunta que nos ocupa es sencilla:

  • ¿Debe el poder seguir en manos de las secciones locales, los activistas de la unidad de negociación, los delegados sindicales y los miembros?
  • ¿O debería centralizarse más autoridad en un grupo de tres personas en la cúpula?

Creemos que estos estatutos llevan a nuestro sindicato en la dirección equivocada, por lo que instamos a los miembros a votar NO.

Celebrating Victories: CSUEU SDSU Chapter 318’s Recent Wins for Members

As a union dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of our members, CSUEU SDSU Chapter 318 is proud to celebrate some recent victories that highlight our commitment to fighting for our members. Through collective effort and determination, we have secured essential wins that positively impact our members’ lives and working conditions.
One significant accomplishment is successfully negotiating In-Range Progressions (IRPs) for most lead custodians on campus. Despite their additional responsibilities, these dedicated employees were earning nearly the same amount as our custodians. Through our efforts, we rectify this disparity and ensure that these lead custodians are fairly compensated for their roles, reflecting their skills and contributions to the university.
Additionally, we are proud to have secured IRPs for all our laborers on campus. These hardworking employees play a crucial role in maintaining the university’s infrastructure, and it was important to us to ensure their wages are commensurate with their skills and responsibilities.
Furthermore, our recent victories include successfully resolving two informal grievances and a level I complaint. These wins demonstrate our dedication to addressing and resolving issues that our members face in the workplace. We are committed to standing up for our members’ rights and ensuring they are treated fairly and respectfully.
Our chapter’s work does not end with these victories. While we are proud of our recent successes, we recognize that there is still work to be done to continue advocating for our members. We remain committed to fighting for our members and helping them overcome challenges they may face in the workplace. Our doors are always open, and we encourage our members to reach out if they need assistance or have concerns.
As a union, we are determined to continue our fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and equitable treatment for all our members. We are proud of our achievements but recognize that this is just the beginning. We will continue striving for positive change and are committed to supporting our members every step of the way.
In conclusion, CSUEU SDSU Chapter 318 is proud to celebrate our recent victories in securing IRPs for lead custodians and laborers and resolving informal grievances and a level I complaint. These wins reflect our dedication to advocating for our members and fighting for their rights in the workplace.
